Arrests at Intertribal Sundance!
Moutain Elders arrested at Sundance. They were charged with tresspassing and no permit. On the 11th of July Five Dineh Elders were arrested on the sundance grounds. Their names are: Ruth Benally, a medicine woman Pauline Whitesinger, Elvira Horsehader, Louise Benally, and Joella Askie.

The Hopi Tribal Police confronted several hundred unarmed men, women and children who are takig place in the intertribal sundance hsted by Dine Elder RuthBenally and led by Joe Chasing Horse. Along with arresting the five Elders, they threatened to arrest everyone if the sundance were to proceed.
